These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Hoggl platform. They should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, all of which form part of the agreement between you and The 4th Principle Ltd.
Hoggl is a peer-to-peer marketplace operated by The 4th Principle Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Hoggl enables parents and guardians to buy and sell pre-loved children's items directly with one another.
By using the Hoggl app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and all associated policies in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
For any questions relating to these terms, please contact us at info@the4thprinciple.com.
To use Hoggl, you must:
Hoggl is intended for the sale of children's items only. By listing an item, you confirm it is appropriate for this purpose. Full details of what may and may not be listed are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at info@the4thprinciple.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or inappropriately.
When you purchase an item on Hoggl, you are entering into a direct contract with the seller. Hoggl acts as the marketplace platform and facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the sale itself.
Every purchase made through Hoggl is covered by our buyer protection policy. If an item does not arrive, or is significantly not as described, you are entitled to raise a dispute. Full details of what is and is not covered, and how to request a refund, are set out in our Returns and Refunds Policy.
A small buyer protection fee is added at checkout. This fee is clearly shown before you confirm any purchase.
By listing an item on Hoggl, you confirm that:
Full details of what may and may not be listed, and the standards your listings must meet, are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy. Hoggl reserves the right to remove any listing that we consider inappropriate, misleading, or in breach of these terms or our associated policies.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Funds are held until the buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction. Hoggl will release payment to the seller following successful completion of the transaction.
Sellers are responsible for ensuring their Stripe account details are accurate and up to date. Hoggl accepts no liability for misdirected payments resulting from incorrect account information.
Sellers are responsible for dispatching items promptly and in appropriate packaging. Estimated dispatch times are displayed on each listing.
Hoggl provides integrated shipping via our chosen carrier. Sellers must use the label provided through the app. Items sent outside of this system are not covered by buyer protection.
Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer once an item has been collected by the carrier and a valid tracking reference has been issued.
If a dispute arises between a buyer and a seller, both parties should first attempt to resolve the matter directly through Hoggl's messaging system.
If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may escalate the dispute to Hoggl. We will review the available evidence and make a determination that we consider fair and reasonable. Our decision is final.
Full details of the returns and refunds process, including timescales and evidence requirements, are set out in our Returns and Refunds Policy. To raise a dispute, please contact us at info@the4thprinciple.com with your order reference and a description of the issue.
You must use Hoggl in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy, which sets out in full what conduct is and is not permitted on the platform. This includes rules on listings, communication with other users, and prohibited behaviour.
Breaches of the Acceptable Use Policy may result in removal of listings, suspension, or permanent banning from the platform.
All content, branding, and technology forming part of the Hoggl platform is owned by or licensed to The 4th Principle Ltd. You must not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
Hoggl is a marketplace platform. We are not the buyer or seller of any item listed on the platform and accept no liability for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing.
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, The 4th Principle Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Your privacy is important to us. Full details of how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data are set out in our Privacy Policy. By using Hoggl, you consent to the processing of your data as described in that policy.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of Hoggl following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
